Northern Night

School project for visual arts. I had to get one more visual arts course to my upper secondary school studies, so I did one independently. There are just few art courses to choose in our curriculum ^{(kerpeleen koulutuskuntayhtymä säästöineen </3)}, and I have already attented to the most interesting ones, so this was actually the only good way to get a course.
I don't feel like I'd have much to tell about the painting itself. A fun project to paint, even if I had some huge difficulties with this. I never thought how tricky it is to paint northern lights... I never seen them in real life, so I had to trust my imagination and some photos as a reference. :'D

This painting felt totally inpossible to capture in a picture (colours don't seem to be correct and ISO 3200 gives such a disgusting look to the picture...), so I can promise this looks A LOT better in real life. Somebody should definitely invent a machine that could scan canvas perfectly. I'm sure I would not be the only one who wants a machine like that!

This is painted on canvas (Lefranc & Bourgeois), size 41 x 33 cm.
